My name is Joey Jones, and The Coral Reef Talk is here to assist you every step of the way. I jumped right into the world of saltwater tanks and my very first aquarium was a 29 gallon tank that I purchased off of craigslist, you know kind of like what Facebook marketplace is today or like an online yard sale. It came with a light a stand and the tank for one hundred dollars, what a bargain! I got to work filling up the tank with live rock, sand and saltwater and eventually introduced my very first fish a pair of clownfish! I was hooked and have been learning and growing with this fascinating world of underwater animals ever since!

I later started a YouTube channel and set out to share what I have learned with others in hopes of building a supportive community that comes together helping each other with their own saltwater reef tanks.

With over a decade of experience in the reef aquarium hobby, I established this website to complement the YouTube channel. My goal is to leverage my knowledge and passion to guide you in becoming a more successful reef keeper.
